Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport | Transfer to the Hotel

Detailed Itinerary (Gorilla Trekking and Golden Monkey Habituation)

Day 1: Arrival at Entebbe International Airport | Transfer to the Hotel

You will arrive at Entebbe International Airport and will be met by the representative from AllanBlackia Safaris who will give you a briefing about your tour and later transfer you to the hotel late in the evening for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Depending on your flight arrival, you will have optional activities such as cycling around Entebbe Town or Visit Mabamba Swamp to track the shoe Bill.

Overnight: Hotel Number 5

Day 2: Drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park

Gorilla Trekking

Wake up in the Morning to you Breakfast; you will be picked by your driver guide who will later drive you to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park in South Western Uganda.

The drive takes about 8-9 hrs. Along Mbarara-Masaka and Kabale Road.

You will have a stopover at the Equator for some photography and refreshment and then continue your journey. Upon reaching Mbarara, you will have another stopover for lunch in preparation for a scenic drive to Bwindi Impenetrable National Park.

Check in at the lodge for relaxation, dinner and overnight.

Overnight: Rushaga Gorilla Havens Lodge

Day 3: Gorilla Trekking | Transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park

On the morning of your gorilla tracking, you will rise early and have a hearty breakfast to prepare for the physical action of the day. By 8 AM, you will head to the Uganda Wildlife Authority ranger station to register. The rangers will brief you before the start of your gorilla expedition.

It takes three to six hours on average to complete the walk, so you’ll need a decent level of fitness and sturdy walking boots or shoes.

Gorilla Trekking Safari

You will be led by the rangers through the village gardens and into the forest, which resembles a jungle. As you seek for the gorillas, they will accompany you through the occasionally impenetrable bush, occasionally using a machete to slice through the dense foliage.

For their protection, the mountain gorillas are observed around-the-clock.

After locating the gorilla family, you will be instructed to remove all of your possessions and approach the kind, massive primates using just your camera.

The guides will explain the behavior of the animals and offer commentary on what you are seeing. It is possible to witness females with their young, young males, and even a dominant Silverback eating, playing, interacting with one another, or simply sleeping!

You will always remember your experience with the gorillas. When they see you, they’ll be quite interested! Before heading back to base, you get exactly one hour to spend with the gorillas.

After your Gorilla Trekking, you will head back to the lodge for your lunch and after transfer to Mgahinga Gorilla National Park which is about 2 hrs.

Day 4: Golden Monkey Habituation Experience

After your early morning breakfast, you will transfer to the headquarters for briefing in preparation for the Golden Habituation Experience.

Golden Monkey Habituation

The safari with golden monkeys in Mgahinga national park is among the most exceptional activities that enable travelers come close to one of the rarest primates found in the word. Mgahinga gorilla national park is located along south-western part of Uganda.

It prides with among the highest biodiversity level in the world making it a destination.

In this exciting expedition, one can witness a contingent of gold monkeys familiarizing themselves with the company of humans.

The encounter enables one to appreciate the playful behaviors, social relations that characterize these animals along with their special traits at a close range.

After the experience, you will return back to the lodge for lunch and one hour relaxation and later head out for the Batwa community cultural experience.

In the evening you will return back to the lodge for dinner, relaxation and overnight.

Overnight; Mount Gahinga Lodge

Day 5: Drive back to Entebbe | Departure

After your early morning breakfast, you will transfer back to Entebbe, Lunch Enroute and prepare for your outbound flight in the evening.
