6 Days Rwanda and Uganda Gorilla trekking Safari is a 6 days Safari combing a Uganda Gorilla Safari and a Rwanda Gorilla Safari. From the Kigali airport to your hotel in the city and the to the great-value lodges around the Volcanoes in Rwanda and Uganda then back to Kigali, the 6 days safari give you a chance to meet mountain gorillas twice in the two countries. The trip’s focus is mountain gorilla tracking but has golden monkeys and culture too. It has an exceptional level of flexibility as it a private one.

Day 1: Arrive at Kigali to Start up your 6 Days Rwanda and Uganda Gorilla trekking Safari

Leave the airport in the Rwandan Capital-Kigali and your guide will drop you at the hotel for a night before your experience at Volcanoes National Park and Bwindi Impenetrable National Parks. Depending on your arrival, you can have a little time to explore the city. Accommodation: Amata n’Ubuki Boutique Hotel

Day 2: Drive to Volcanoes National Park

From the lodge after breakfast, you will head North-West for about three hours- though should you see something interesting and wish to stop, discuss with your guide. The journey is through the lush hills and bustling towns to base of the park. We arrive and check in at our beautiful lodges and later visit the Cultural Center or Museum- Ellen DeGeneres Campus of Dian Fossey.

Day 3-Gorilla Tracking and cross to Uganda (Lake Mutanda)

Spend a morning trekking to find the mountain gorillas of Volcanoes National Park. Tracking gorillas is a magical experience; some say it bigger than any other wildlife encounters. Your guide will drive you to the park offices, here you will meet your guides and rangers for a briefing and other members that will track gorillas. When you meet a family, you are allowed an hour with the gorillas. When you return, drive to Uganda’s Bwindi Impenetrable National Park-Rushaga sector in Kisoro which is about a 2 hours from Volcanoes National Park through the Cyanika Border. Day 4-Gorilla tracking and night in Kisoro

Early morning wake up call and breakfast, then transfer to the park offices for your briefing. Tracking mountain gorillas through the dense African forests is a magical wildlife experience. Only eight guests are allowed to track a gorilla family each day, and to minimize possible transmission of human diseases and stress on these apes, visitors are asked to maintain a distance of 10m from the gorillas. Typically, tracking can take from 3 to 8 hours and requires some agility and fitness; however, all fitness levels can be accommodated and no one should feel deterred from missing this once in a lifetime experience. Return to the lodge and refresh and then head to Kisoro for a night and prepare for next morning’s golden monkey tracking and Batwa trail walk.

Day 5-Golden Monkey tracking and Batwa trail

In the shadows of the one Gorilla Group at Mgahinga Gorilla National Park, thrives a species of the blue monkey; the golden monkeys which are endangered and only between 2000-4000 of the them are left and only found in the Virungas. In the morning we shall walk into the forests that cover the Mgahinga mountains for a search of these primates. After we visit the Batwa Community and walk with them in the trail through the forest to the Ngarama Cave. The trail is an insight into the culture of the Batwa and way of life.

Day 6: Back to Kigali

Today we have breakfast and check out of our lodge for Kigali. Use the same border to cross to Rwanda and through the Ruhengeri area, we drive back to Kigali. You can have to explore the city and lunch before you are transferred to the airport for your exit flight.
